The Business

Steam Engine Media is a design firm located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota (Central Time Zone). We are dedicated to providing quality service at an affordable price. As a small firm we are able to provide a level of service unheard of with large companies.

A lot of people ask us where the name Steam Engine Media came from. There is two parts to that answer. First, to me the Steam Engine and the Internet have a lot in common, both technologies revolutionized the world. The Steam Engine allowed the American farmer to farm more acres then he could possibly could have farmed using a horse & plow. The Steam Engine allowed America to develop the west by moving people and materials cheaply and efficiently. The Internet has done similar things today. We now can communicate and share information across great distances in the blink of an eye. The Internet has altered how we do everything from buying a book to finding a soul mate.

The second reason I named the firm Steam Engine Media is in memory of my grandpa, Myron Fillbach. My grandpa loved trains. He was very knowledgeable about them and kept an awesome model train setup in his office. My love for computers and programming came from him. He was always teaching me new things and encouraging me and I would not be here without him. He is deeply missed by all of us.
