Free Canvas Child Themes
For a while now I have wanted to do something to try and increase my design skills/experience as well as give something back to the WordPress community. When I first heard of Canvas and child themes I thought this would be the perfect way to start. So to the right you will see all the child themes I have made so far. I am not a fan of traditional business themes (but I do have one in the works) so as you can see most of the themes I make are personal ones and occupy a small niche, but I hope someone finds them useful. If anyone uses any of my child themes I would love to hear from you and see the themes in action. I already feel like a partial success as the tweet announcing my first theme was retweeted by Magnus Jepson. A few things to remember.
- You need to own a copy of Canvas from Woothemes for the child themes to work.
- You do not need to credit me or link back to this site but please let me know if you use one of my themes.
- Make sure to check the box under Canvas –> Theme Options –> Layout –> Disable ALL custom styles to make sure the theme works correctly like pictured below.
- Make sure to have the main layout set to one sidebar on the righthand side like pictured below.

Business Themes
Optimize Canvas
There is an extra step that needs to be taken with this theme. You need to follow the instructions from Woothemes on how to set up the business template here. Also this theme is heavily based on Optimize (hence the name) so Woothemes gets all the credit for the design, I am not trying to claim it as my own.
